Our Paddock Garden update

January 22, 2020

Been a little while since I've reported on how our paddock garden is going. We've had to stop planting since around December and have spent many evenings watering new plants.  Thankfully, during January, we've had a fair amount of rain - a lot more than last year, and the highest January rainfall since we started recording it back in 2014. This has … [Read more...] about Our Paddock Garden update

New year garden work

January 6, 2019

It's been awhile since I've written here but we have been busy - work, some gardening, Christmas, New Year, family, holidays. Back to work tomorrow! Planting time!

May 27, 2018

On Friday I'd gone … [Read more...] about Planting time!

More planting in the paddock garden

May 7, 2018

At last, the rains and cooler weather have arrived and with that, suitable weather for more planting. Graham and I have a lot of time to make up - it's been almost 5 months since we last planted in earnest. Over the past two weekends I've been planting salvias in one section but this past weekend we've gone back to planting more Australian natives. … [Read more...] about More planting in the paddock garden

Garden Project Week 12

September 22, 2017

This is the last week of the landscaping work. Today was Day 36. They finished the final toppings on the pathways, topped up the fire-pit area, added the granite stones, and then smoothed off the area that was once a lawn. Can't believe it's done! It's now up to us to finish the work with lots of planting and mulching, and over time … [Read more...] about Garden Project Week 12
