Getting More Joy from Your Garden: Photography for Others

September 8, 2020

In the last part of my intro for this series, I have taken photos of other people’s gardens. I’ve enjoyed this very much. It is both a privilege to get invited to do so, and a joy as well. Seeing what other people do in their gardens is both inspiring and educational. It’s why I enjoy doing garden visits as well, when there are open gardens (pre-pandemic but hopefully again in the not too distant future). So, having the ability to take reasonable shots of other people’s gardens gives one the opportunity to enjoy them over and over and over again.

Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing about using your camera – be it on a phone or digital camera, some rules for taking photographs, things to look out for, and other how-to’s. I hope these will help guide you in improving your own photography, starting with your own garden.

About Kathie Thomas

A keen gardener from a young age, thanks to my grandmother, I've grown just as passionate about gardening photography too. This site allows me to combine both.
