I love photographing people’s gardens, capturing the essence of their styles and what makes them happy.
Recently I photographed the garden of an 85 year old who was leaving the region to live with family elsewhere. She’d been in her home and garden over 40 years so it’s a big thing for her to leave. She was also a sculptress in her younger years and her sculptures were scattered throughout her home and garden. She lived on a 6 acre property.
I so enjoyed wandering around, taking my time and capturing the essence of what she loved. It was then created into a beautiful photo book with gloss pages and given to her as her 85th birthday present but also as a farewell gift. Many of her family and friends wanted copies of the book too, so I took a group photo at her farewell party and then replaced the last page with the group photo and sold copies to those interested.
If you want to capture your garden, or have a loved one who would love a gift like this, why not contact me for details?
