Preparing for Spring

April 27, 2018

Wednesday was a public holiday here in Australia, so my husband and I spent some time in the garden in the afternoon. We had over 300 bulbs to get into the ground, in preparation for Spring. The weather has begun to cool down, although we still haven't had a lot of rain here. Been the driest Summer/Autumn period in our region for quite sometime. Ladybugs and larvae

April 16, 2018

They also have huge eyes and a long tongue. They look really cute in my way of thinking. The blue banded bee is a solitary bee but females may nest together in same … [Read more...] about Blue banded bees in our garden

February 2, 2018

I love wandering around my garden in the morning, when the birds are tweeting and calling, flying around, the grass is fresh from dew, and everything seems alive.  We're mid summer here, but have a few days of cool weather to get over the recent heat we've had so the garden is looking great, although the weeds think they're most welcome too... … [Read more...] about Seeing the new in your garden
