I’m impatiently waiting for the Autumn colour to turn up here in the hills! There’s a property down the hill from us that does have trees that have already turned and it looks stunning. They’ve planted October Glory Red Maple trees which are fast growing and they turn quickly too. While they do have other trees in the garden not yet turned, these trees look stunning, even more so as they have 3 rows of them outlining the driveway, front wall/fenceline and also the path leading to the house.
I’d taken some photos with my phone and shared them on Facebook about a week or so ago, and the owner contacted me and said I was welcome to come take more photos. Which is exactly what I did. Such a beautiful garden, well laid out and well looked after. While you can see the trees easily, particularly at this time of year, the rest of the garden isn’t obvious unless you come inside the fenceline. Thought I’d share it with you all to see the beauty of these trees at Autumn time.
Oh, if you have an Autumn garden here in the Dandenong Ranges that you’d like me to photograph, please do contact me to discuss.
As you can see, the trees are obvious from out in the street.
It’s stunning to see what is inside. Underplanted by nandinas and succulents around the main lawn. There are two gum trees and an oak tree over the far side.
The front garden faces north and captures the beautiful morning sun.
A close up of the stunning leaves from these trees. So beautiful. Do you have a garden you’d like to share too?
